Writing
- Finish Travel Book. I began this project in the Spring, having no idea how much time goes into writing a book, and how much work I already had on my plate. I thought I would be more motivated to work at home, which is not the case at all!
- Write 1 Rule per week. Meghan's rules for life.
- Write 3 fiction stories. I am a horrible writer. It's not that my writing is bad, it's that I have a hard time finding time to sit down and write. Between my job, having a social life, my boyfriend, and my dogs...time flies!
Financial
- Be debt free
- Do something nice and unexpected
- Donate to Norsled and Island Dog
- Go to one US destination that I haven't been to before.
- Visit my brother/sister in law 3 times. These people rule. Plus, they have a pretty awesome cat.
- Buy plane ticket to Africa. I have wanted to visit the Okavango Delta in Botswana for some time now. Since I also have the longer term goal of visiting each continent (only 2 to go!), I figure it kills to bird with one stone.
- Go to Toronto. My roommate has a friend there. It would be neat, ay.
- Plan dog-road trip for 2013. Realistically 2012 will be too busy, but 2013 should work!
- Workout/run at least 3 days during the week, and once on the weekend.
- Get dental work completed.
- Go to dermatologist.
- Write a letter a week.
- Visit my brother / Sis-in-law twice. They're more awesome than pumpkin curry (which is saying something!).
Dogs
- Take dogs out 3 times a week, if not more.
- Get Jack x-rays. My little one (only 65 lbs, the little cutie) has the symptoms of hip dysplasia.
- Take them to the snow! Really, this needs to happen. They're sled dogs. I want Spike to pull me on a sled, let's hope he doesn't run me into a tree or the road.
- Learn conversational Spanish. I feel like a jackass because I don't know Spanish. Most of my neighbors are Mexican with limited English, and it would be great to be able to speak with them.
- Read/listen to 12 books this year.
- Be more organized. My desk is horrendous looking. Sometimes I find old cashews hidden under stacks of paper. I write notes on post-its, which get lost. It's kind of like a time capsule...So this is what I was thinking about in April or 2009!
